-----This is plywood/HPL,its character is hard ,not easily to be bent under heavy bearing.And normally it's laminated formica,which is not easily to be scratched. Also price is high. ---This is particle board, which is characterized by being hard but brittle, relatively cheap, but relatively easy to absorb water.
This is MDF, widely used in the furniture industry, cost-effective, and the material is relatively light and soft. Disadvantages are water absorption and deformation at high temperatures - the same as particleboard.
